Join us in our upcoming lobby day: March 14th, 2019

On March 14th, 2019, the anniversary of the national student walkout, Bay Area Student Activists (BAStA) will be heading up to Sacramento again to lobby for common sense gun reform. We want to remind the newly elected officials that this is a fight students still care about, and it is far from over. Please reach out to us with any questions at We would love for you to join us. If you are at all interested please fill out this form!

Bay Area Student Activists (BAStA) was created in the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting to unite students on issues that concern them. BAStA aims to bring together Bay Area students from all backgrounds and work together to amplify our voice. Our entirely student-led organization promotes student engagement in the civic process, and it works with policy-makers at the city, school district, county, and state levels on issues that affect students. BAStA is also committed to educating students on how to exercise their rights in school and in the government. BAStA hopes to continue spreading student activism in the Bay Area, and it intends to show the state that high school students will not be silent on issues that deeply affect them and their communities.

We are graciously accepting all your donations so that we can use them to pay for a variety of things (printing, stickers, odds and ends, etc), and most importantly our upcoming Lobby trip on March 14th! Thank you all!
